For the short walk we have lots of different routes to use. The walks are great for people that like to have an experience of the outdoors in the National Park.
The medium hikes are definitely for the ones that already got some hiking experience, since we are using old mule routes, crossing over mountains and passing by rivers and waterfalls!
During the long hikes, suitable for the adventurous hikers, we generally walk 10-15 km. to the famous mountain tops of the national parks and come to altitudes of 2000 meters in Sierra Almijara.
By all the excursions we pick you up from your destination with a 4×4 and continue into the nature park for to get to the start point of the walk. Proper foot wears and clothing is a must, as well your bag pack with water and maybe a snack.
Apart from the hike itself we do many stops along the track for to enjoy the views and have time for photographing and exploring the wild life. Sierra Nevada, winter and summer hiking takes you to the highest peak of the Iberian Peninsula, 3482 meters altitude, El Mulhacen. This one requires two days of hiking included an overnight stay at the Refugio Poquieira, 2500 meters. Price varies due to the size of the group and season. Please contact us for further information.
The 3 days hiking tour, with 2 nights overstay in the mountains is for the kind of persons that likes the outdoor thrills, washing of themselves under a waterfall, and sleep under open sky in the mountains Food is included during the hiking days. There is an 18/20 km to walk per day with a climb of approximately 1000 meters. We cross mountain tops and pass through canyons and waterfalls in the national park. Your guide is an experienced mountaineer, and as well a specialist in survival skills, that he teaches. Minimum group is 5 persons, price 220 Euros p.p. The summer river/waterfall walk is only offered throughout the warmest months of the year, since the walk goes in water and you definitely get wet. It is fantastic natures experience this easy stroll with water up to the ankles. We recommend trainers as proper foot wears and no flip flops, the swimming costume and that you bring a towel. Price is 30 Euros p.p.
